Consistent presence =
brand awareness
What do you need to know?
Your graphic communication includes every visual expression of your brand. From your business card, invoices, to flyers, posters, billboards and online expressions such as social media posts or ads, online banners and your website.
1. Consistency is key
To create awareness amongst your audience, every single visual expression of your brand has to be an extension of your visual identity. Like body parts of the same body, determined by the same DNA, recognised by your customers. With the rapid speed at which our human eye scans, detects and decides, we need to offer clear visual clues to our customers that instantly communicate wo we are. We simply cannot afford to confuse our audience, confusion takes too much time. Also, most of us regard confusion as a negative emotion, so: be clear, be consistent!
2. Building upon the fundamentals of a strong visual identity
So, is your visual identity crafted as a strong fundament that’s both solid and flexible and are you more than ready to get visible? I’m happy to roll up my sleeves and get that visual identity working for you! If you haven’t decided where and how you would like to be seen by your audience, I can help you build an advertising strategy that fits your specific service or product.
3. Online and/or offline?
There are tons of options to choose from. They go from handing out flyers inside a local store to offering digital ads that can reach potential customers on the other side of the world. Generally speaking we can divide those options into two main categories: Online and offline advertising.
Online advertising includes all of the digital and internet-based channels, such as websites, social media, mobile ads, search engine marketing, search engine optimisation, display ads and email. Taking an online advertising strategy has three important advantages:
- It’s cheap
- It’s measurable
- It’s targetable
Offline advertising is all about connecting with people without electronic gadgets. Channels include leaflets, banners, posters, billboards, booklets, brochures, magazines and direct mail. Offline advertising has the following advantages:
- Higher authenticity value
- Face to face interaction with your customer
- Builds a loyal relationship
Your focus may be online, or offline, or a perfect mix of both. These choices depend completely on the target audience you want to reach and the type of product or service you offer. Do you need help finding your way and deciding which strategy works best for you?
